2019 Ohio County Country Fair Queen Responsibilities and Itinerary for Fair
October 4, 2019 – October 7, 2019
- The Queen shall make an appearance at as many events on the grounds as possible.
- The Queen may delegate activities to the Princess in order to assure coverage of all events.
- The Queen shall assist with ribbon and trophy presentations at all events during the week.
- The Queen shall be present at the Baked Goods Auctions.
- The Queen will be honorable and conduct herself as a representative of the Ohio County Country Fair. This includes, but not limited to, proper conduct with friends, hospitality to the community must be constant, and conduct must be of the highest standard.
- The Queen will maintain a high standard on social media networks and present herself in a manner deemed appropriate and becoming of the fair throughout her reign.
- The Queen is expected to dress in appropriate clothing throughout the week.. No revealing clothing, no clothing with slogans/pictures that may be deemed inappropriate. All tattoos must be covered and body piercings (other than ears) are not to be worn (visible).
- Clothing for the weekend will be discussed with the pageant director and/or Fair Board President prior to the event—weather and temperature will dictate the final decision.
Pageant Date: Thursday, October 3, 2019
All contestants are to arrive dressed in their outfit of choice. Please remember this is a pageant so dress to impress, but remain school appropriate!
Schedule:
Meet and Greet: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Sponsors, guests, and fair board members will be invited. (Light refreshments will be provided)
Introductions of contestants: will begin at 6 pm
Event Promotion: Following Introductions: Each contestant will do a 30 second to 1 minute promotion of the fair and associated events. Contestants are encouraged to use creativity and originality in this segment of competition.
Interviews: Immediately following introductions
Contestants will be interviewed panel style by three judges at this time. Interviews will be 3 - 5 minutes in length.
Interview questions will range from information from the contestants bio (entry form) to random questions chosen by the judges.
