 The 2016 Ohio County Country Fair is just days away! We want your picture to share at the fair!
Take a selfie or a photo at the fair and upload it to our Facebook page along with where you are from! Let's see how many pictures and states we can get in a just few days. If you see a fair board member, see if they want to take a photo. I know I will take some!  Spring has sprung here in the Upper Ohio Valley! Along with the greening of plants, the Ohio County Country Fair is going green!
In the near future, the Ohio County Country Fair website will feature an on-line registration section. This will cut down on paper and mailing times for our secretaries and contestants. Please feel free to call the Extension Office at 304-234-3673 with questions when this becomes available. Remember to pre-register for anything you may enter, registration times at the fair will take a bit longer this year as all registrations will be at the same location.  The OCCF is just over two months away!
On the 30th of August, we will gather to thank our many sponsors and fair board members for there hard work and dedication to the mission of promoting agricultural education to an urban population. Please visit the website for a list of sponsors and be sure to thank them! Also entry forms are available for competitions, please get them in as soon as possible. Thanks, Justin  Congratulations to Edgar Hooper who was recently inducted into the NACAA Hall of Fame! The Hall of Fame Award is presented annually to one person from each of the four NACAA regions for demonstrated commitment, dedication, and effective leadership in job performance as outstanding educators. Involvement at both the state and national levels, and outstanding humanitarian service are considered.
